The Data Analyst position requires strong business skills with sound technical background relating to Data and Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Visualization. You will be part of the Business Intelligence & Insights Team and in this role you will and would be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and building out the specifications for a BI solution framework that includes defining KPIs, Dashboards and specifying Business facing data models and data interchanges. You must be experienced in specifying executive and operational dashboards built in Tableau or Cognos. Any experience in building out predictive data models using R and Tableau will a big plus. You will define and maintain specifications and system documentation of BI Applications and co-ordinate and communicate clearly and concisely with Internal and External teams.
Minimum 5 years of experience with Data Analysis, Report Design, and Project Management.
Must be strong of Data Visualization Presentation and Techniques
Must have worked with Tableau and Cognos
Experience in R and using R with Tableau is a big plus
Must be familiar with the Big Data / AWS Landscape
Must have understanding of PL/SQL queries.
Familiarity with Toad and Change Management Tools is desirable.
Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new projects in Business Intelligence, Data Management, Applications and initiatives to support and enhance our existing systems.
Conceptualize ways to present data through infographics, charts, graphs, maps, videos, and interactive visualizations.
Apply design and data analysis techniques to organize the presentation of data in visually compelling ways in order to make it easier to understand, insightful, and actionable by users.
Oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of a specific BI Applications
Ability to Analyze Data in Tables or Reports and find any issues.
Ability to identify, evaluate and define impacts of changes, provide alternatives both to the application changing and all upstream and downstream systems.
Operates as a subject matter expert for the various application systems that are OceanX internal and external partner systems.
Translate reporting requirements, product, or business requirements into technical specification or source system analysis documents.
Maintain and create Data File Specifications.
Identify new Exception Reports and provide design requirement, test, and approve.
Analyze Source Systems for potential issues.
Communicate clearly and concisely with Internal and External teams regarding new procedures, errors found, and potential issues.
Develop high level source to target data mappings.
Initiate and execute initiatives to improve the processes, procedures, and tools utilized by the team.
Follow change management procedures and validation.
